Lindsay Pollock’s blog Art Market Views provides daily breaking news and analysis for readers seeking an insider’s perspective on the art industry. The site focuses on New York City, the reigning global art capital.

Pollock posts original content on the site, as well as links to stories she writes for other publications, including the financial news wire Bloomberg News and the London-based Art Newspaper.

She founded the blog in July 2009 and quickly garnered a widespread and loyal readership among top collectors, curators, art dealers and others.

Influential blogger and dealer Edward Winkleman quickly dubbed Art Market Views a “daily must-read.” The site has been linked to by numerous websites including Reuters, Artinfo and Curbed.

Pollock has been covering the New York art market since 2001. She began writing for ARTnews, Art & Auction, The Art Newspaper and other publications. She initiated art market coverage for the New York Sun, with the creation of a weekly column focusing on the auctions and art fair. Pollock also anchored auction news for Rainbow Media’s HD auction channel, has appeared on Plum TV. She has been interviewed on the art market by National Public Radio and other radio stations.

Her biography of pioneering art dealer Edith Halpert, The Girl with the Gallery, was published in hardback in 2006 by PublicAffairs. A paperback followed in 2008.

A graduate of Barnard College and Columbia University’s Graduate School of Journalism, Pollock lives in New York City.
