MoMA Store Sells Ron Arad’s Eccentric Head Gear
The MoMA Store catalog features an array of items inspired by the Ron Arad “No Discipline” exhibition, including the designer’s own wacky Cappello chapeau, designed in 2000.
The Italian-made black felt cap, with a “wide front brim” and “designer label” goes for $85. It’s a “MoMA Exclusive.”
Other Arad items include the Babyboop bowl, a curvilinear stainless steel bowl, for $100 and the famous “Bookworm Shelf” for $425.

As soon as I saw the hat in the store I was at the counter to pay. Finally , a modern hat with comfortable room for a larger mans head. I teach art in a prep school out in Princeton and just the day before I ordered 14 of Mr. Arad’s Tom Vac chairs for our school. We want to bring our school into this new century!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!Our new Viual and Design Arts Building celebrates design!!!! Carpe diem!!!! I can’t wait until it is colder to were the hat to school. If we suround our students with great design and talk about process and experimentation I believe they might be better prepared for this new world of ours.
