Jason Holton, the registrar at Hollis Taggart Galleries, died July 31, 2009 at the age of 32 from cancer-related complications. He is survived by his wife Letty Holton, and their son Matthew Garland.
“Those of you who knew and worked with Jason know what a kind and gentle, loving person he was, and he will be missing by so many whose lives he touched,” said an e-mail message from the gallery.
Holton received an MA in Museum Studies from New York’s City College. He interned and worked for New York museums and galleries, including The Museum of Television and Radio, The Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum and The New Museum of Contemporary Art.
