Art adviser Michele C. Quinn, who helped bring contemporary art to the Las Vegas strip, is moving to Philadelphia next year, while maintaining her Vegas business.

For the past four years Quinn oversaw the development of a $40m art collection for the CityCenter Fine Art Collection, part of a new 67-acre hotel and residential real estate development project opening Dec. 16.

CityCenter was constructed at a cost of $8.5b, reportedly the largest privately funded construction project in the U.S. and a joint venture between MGM Mirage and Dubai World.

The CityCenter collection includes 15 major installations by Jenny Holtzer, Nancy Rubins, Frank Stella, Richard Long and others.

Quinn previously worked at Christie’s and Brooke Alexander. She moved to Las Vegas in 2003, where she had grown up. She worked as curator for casino executive Glenn Schaeffer and other private and corporate collections.

In conjunction with CityCenter, Quinn opens a new 2,500 square foot fine art gallery CENTERpiece, which will sell works by artists featured in the CityCenter collection, among others, focusing on prints, photography, sculpture and design objects.
